Gerber Knives FAQ

I own a Gerber knife with a serrated blade. How do I sharpen the serrations?
Use a rounded sharpener and direct it down the 1/2 moon shapes between the points following the existing angle.

Can you repair Gerber products that have been misused?
Yes. Gerber has a repair service. Just send it in and Gerber will repair it if possible. Make sure to include the product name, part number, and a brief description of the repair. The price varies from knife to knife, no more than $30.00 plus shipping and handling.

I own a Gerber Knife. Can I send it in for factory sharpening?
Yes. Gerber does offer a sharpening service. The charges are $3.00 per knife for a single edge/kitchen knife, $6.00 for double edge/survival knives plus $3.00 shipping and handling.

Can I get accessory tools for my Multi-Plier product?
Yes. Gerber has a tool kit accessory with six different bits that affix to the end of the crosshead screwdriver. The components already built into the Multi-Plier tools are not exchangeable. For more information on purchasing the accessory kits email us at customerservice@dragonflyproducts.com.

Can I buy factory-direct and get a lower price?
No. Sorry, but Gerber doesn't sell directly to the public.

I have an idea for a new product. Should I send a description?
No. Sorry, but Gerber cannot review unpatented ideas. Because of legal considerations, Gerber is only able to work with designers of patented items.
